Shelf life: two years after production
Considering the fact that preservatives are not used in the production of canned foods, the question arises as to how canned foods have a shelf life of two years. During the process of producing and sealing the product under vacuum, steam under pressure is used to sterilize the packages. These two important factors, i.e. the absence of oxygen in the can and the effect of temperature on microorganisms and their destruction, increase the shelf life of the product.
